Ricardo R. Calderon
Rick is the Managing Director and Principal of MAS Advisors. He is Chairman of the Firm’s Management Committee and of the Investment Committee. Mr. Calderon’s advisory work focuses on a variety of market-neutral investment strategies tied to private fund offerings both for US and foreign clients. He concentrates on tax efficient strategies particularly the management of proprietary insurance compliant investment strategies and funds within the separate accounts of private placement variable life insurance and variable annuity companies. He has over 30 years of experience in the delivery of global financial services as a senior executive, legal counsel, and compliance officer with two Fortune 100 multinational firms.
Francisco Soler
Francisco is the Chief Investment Officer and a Senior Vice President of the firm. He is a member of our Investment Committee and Management Committee and oversees all investment related activities which are focused on non-correlated, tax-efficient investment strategies primarily within insurance-compliant managed accounts for the separate account divisions of private placement variable life insurance and variable annuity companies. He also oversees regulatory compliance. Francisco has 20 years of experience in global financial services, having operated extensively in private banking and asset management with global 500 multinational firms. He is a CFA and CAIA charter holder and holds the following industry qualifications: FINRA Series 7 and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam (Series 63).
Christophe Loisey
Christophe is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for MAS Advisors. He is responsible for the IT systems, systems architecture and IT security. Early in his career, Christophe was a Program Manager at Microsoft in Redmond, Washington where he was part of the Excel team, designed Office features, supervised the Office security review process and was part of the team that received a U.S. patent. Christophe has a degree in mechanical engineering from École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers in Paris, France.
Natalia Diaz
Natalia is Director of Administration for MAS Advisors, a Vice President of the firm, and a member of the Management Committee. She leads front office functions related to securing new business and overseeing institutional PPLI accounts. Natalia is responsible for Corporate HR and plays key roles in regulatory compliance and financial oversight. She has over twelve years of experience in the insurance industry, nine of those in the PPLI space. She is a graduate of Florida International University, where she earned a BS in Criminal Justice.
Bridget Fagerholt
Bridget is MAS Advisors' Director of Operations, a Vice President of the firm, and a member of the Management Committee. She has company-wide operational responsibilities supporting middle and back-office functions and is the primary liaison for Operational IT, working closely with the CIO and CTO of the firm. She oversees reporting, due diligence, regulatory compliance support, and client relations. Bridget began her career in the not-for-profit sector before joining the MAS Advisors team. Bridget has 10 years of experience in investment advisory operations. She received her BS in International Business from Northeastern University in Boston and Degree in International Management from the European School of Business in Reutlingen, Germany.
Bob Kelly
Bob has over 40 years of experience in financial planning and investment management. Since 1981, he has worked with business owners and family-owned businesses around the country, advising them in the areas of estate planning, business succession planning and investment management. Bob has been a speaker at several National Conventions (Hawaiian Tax Institute, NADA, OFDA & NEOCON) on a variety of topics related to his areas of expertise. In addition, he has written articles for different industry trade journals and is currently featured in the book “Life Insurance - How to Use It to Your Clients’ Advantage” which is available through AICPA. Bob is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He holds the respected Certified Financial Planner™ designation as well as Series 7 and 63 FINRA certifications.
Vivian Ramos
Vivian works as a Client Service Specialist providing administrative and reporting support. She has worked in the life insurance business for over 20 years, both with US and Bermuda based insurance companies, primarily with life insurance, annuities and preferred share products. For the last eight years, Vivian has focused in the field of client service. Previously, she specialized in the insurance software industry for many years, so, she's owned her skills across many of the different aspects of the insurance business. She is a graduate from the University of Miami with a BS degree in Computer Science.
Pablo Salazar
Pablo is an Investment Analyst responsible for preparing detailed analytics to support the investment research and due diligence functions of the firm. For the past 13 years he has been working in Project Development, most notably in global tunneling projects ranging from the OCIT tunnel in Columbus, Ohio, the Fortaleza Metro in Brazil, the Devoll Power Plant in Albania, and the Alto Maipo Hydropower Plant in Chile. He started his career as a Project Manager at Herrenknecht AG in Germany, later became a Senior Project Manager at the Robbins Company in Cleveland, Ohio, and most recently, was the Managing Director of Protun Solutions. Pablo earned a bachelor’s degree in robotics engineering form Instituto Politecnico Nacional de Mexico
